About Pablo / Zimba.

Ever since I started using a camera, I have always said that all I need is a backpack to take it everywhere, a couple of lenses and my laptop. That is what makes me happy.

I began this journey at the age of nineteen in Mexico. I started just as a portrait photographer, taking pictures of my friends and practicing the basics of this art. Then I was cautivated by film and the power of combining moving images with sound and music.

It didn´t take me long to realize that I really wanted to make a career out of this world, and that someday I would love to make those films that eight-year old Pablo loved to watch with his grandma and his sister.

After studying at Capilano University in Vancouver, I started my own filmmaking business in Mexico. I have had the pleasure to be part of several projects as a director, producer, editor, cameraman and many other assisting positions. Music videos, corporate videos, documentaries and feature films have been the productions I have worked on. This is the time when I got the nickname of "Zimba", due to the name I used for my first business: ZIMBA FILMS.

I love the energy and creativity that has to be used on every single project to achieve an outstanding result. I love the emotional power that photography and film has over all of us, and I love to be one of many other artists who share the same goal... to tell extraordinay stories.

About Maxi Rodriguez.

Since I can remember, theater has always been a part of my life. That’s where my love for art and the ability to create began. In the following years, my interest in photography, editing, and design became inevitable.

"Creating" has always been a way for me to express my feelings, to share everything I observe, and in this way, convey who I am to others. In addition to participating in various audiovisual projects, I’ve also gained experience and lived unforgettable moments in different stage productions as an actress and set and sound designer in the world of theater.

Today, at Nisshoku Media, I want to capture the essence of every project we are allowed to be a part of, pushing my limits and leaving a piece of my creative self behind.
